Rural Architecture

The Hudson Valley is entering a new design era. The region’s familiar vocabulary of weathered barns, rustic farmhouses and informal tasting rooms is giving way to a more intentional approach, one in which architecture, interiors, landscape and agricultural production are conceived as a single experience. Across Hudson, Claverack, Hyde Park and Gardiner, four projects reveal how rural hospitality is becoming increasingly sophisticated without losing its connection to place.
